Man takes truck, gun and a trailer full of Little Debbie snacks
Suspect wanted in Liberty County
charged with stealing truck and
trailer from Marianna Wal-Mart
MARIANNA, FL – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a vehicle and trailer had been stolen and another vehicle had been burglarized at Walmart on Monday, Dec. 11. The stolen vehicle was worth approximately $40,000 and the trailer was worth approximately $6,000 with $2,500 worth of Little Debbie snack products inside. A backpack with personal items was stolen from the other vehicle.
Deputies located the stolen truck and trailer abandoned on Interstate 10 near mile marker 141. A firearm was missing from the truck. The K-9 Tracking Unit and Drone Unit were deployed to attempt to locate the suspect.
Shortly after finding the truck and trailer, deputies saw a man, later identified as David Christopher Little Eagle White, walking on the shoulder of Interstate 10 near mile marker 142. Deputies discovered that White had an active warrant out of Liberty County and arrested him. During a search of White’s person, a set of keys was located in his pocket, and medicine prescribed to one of the victims was found in the backpack he was carrying. The keys were found to be the keys to the stolen truck and trailer. The firearm has not yet been recovered.
White is being charged in Jackson County with grand theft auto, grand theft of more than $300 but less than $5,000, grand theft of a firearm, burglary of a conveyance, and petty theft of more than $100 but less than $750.
