Peggy Sue Chabot Palmer
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Peggy Sue Chabot Palmer, 69, died in loving arms on May 14th, 2024.
She was born on April 10th, 1955 to Ambrose Billy Chabot and Joyce Jenkins Chabot in Seattle, WA. She was the fifth of nine children. Her older siblings are David Stephen, Terry Lynne, Jeane Annette (Dee Dee), and Robert. Her younger siblings are Donna, Barbara, Debra, and Brent. At age 17, her parents moved with their five youngest children to Orem, Utah. She wasn’t there for long before she moved to Warner Robins, Georgia to help her sister Dee Dee with newborns. She graduated from high school there in February 1973.
In 1974 she moved to Provo, UT and met her sweetheart Alan. On Nov.21, 1975, Peggy and Alan D. Palmer were married for time and all eternity in the Provo, UT Temple. Their first child was born in Bountiful, UT. After Alan was hired as a construction project manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, they moved to Europe and lived in England, Scotland, Germany, and France. They welcomed four more children during their years in Europe. They moved to Rexburg, Idaho in 1987, where their sixth child was born. In 2005 they moved to Aurora, CO until Alan retired in 2018. Peggy always wanted to live by the beach, so they moved to Blountstown.
Her biggest dream was to become a wife and mother. She loved raising her children and dedicated her life to their care. She was a great example of dedication, faith, hard work, and endurance. One of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother and seeing her family grow.
She enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, photography, and gardening. Her yard was always beautifully planted and maintained. She loved to share seeds, shoots and flowers with her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her husband, her children Julienne (David), Heather (Phillip), Paul, Melissa, Heidi (Jared), Kimberly (Anson), 27 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Jeane Annette and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 12605 NW Myers Ann St, Bristol on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. CST (11 a.m. EST). A family memorial service will also be held in Utah Valley at a later date.Â
