Driver tosses gun while fleeing
GADSDEN COUNTY, FL – Just minutes after it had been stolen, an FHP State Trooper observed a white truck and flat-bed trailer combination traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near Midway in Gadsden County at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
The vehicle combination had just been reported stolen minutes earlier.
During a brief pursuit, the driver of the stolen truck, Victordontavius Stallworth Jr., 38, tossed a firearm from the vehicle.
As the trooper followed the truck and trailer, the driver attempted to take Exit 192 but then suddenly pulled back onto the interstate. Â He barely missed hitting the exit sign.
 Stallworth was arrested shortly after without incident in the Leon County rest area. He was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
