BAY CO. – The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of North Gay Avenue and 7th Street in Callaway early this morning. The body of a man had been found in a ditch at that location.
BCSO Criminal Investigations and crime scene responded to begin a death investigation. The body was identified as that of Donald Earl York, age 62, of Callaway. York’s bike was found near his body. There were no injuries on the body and the bike was not damaged. Currently, BCSO Criminal Investigations does not believe foul play is involved.
The investigation is still underway with additional information to be released when available.
