CALHOUN COUNTY, FL – One man is in custody and facing several charges after he fled from a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy who attempted to make a traffic stop near the Hwy. 71 and I-10 interchange around 6:45 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Joshua Alan Reagan, led deputies into Calhoun County and officers there joined the pursuit through Hayes Subdivision in Blountstown. Reagan lost control of the truck on NE Lois Fowler Road and crashed into a ditch.
Deputies took Reagan into custody and began adding up a long list of charges. His passenger, Tommy Joe Thurman Jr., is expected to be charged with a probation violation.
A loaded shotgun was found in the vehicle.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, probable cause was found to charge Reagan with the following:
-fleeing at high speed from a marked vehicle with lights and siren active
– habitual driving while license suspended or revoked (felony)
-reckless driving with property damage
– resisting an officer without violence
– possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
– possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
– attaching a tag not legally assigned
Regan is facing additional charges from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
