Quincy man killed when

pickup hits fence and

rolls into holding pond

QUINCY, FL – A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a 55-year-old Quincy man Friday evening.

The driver was traveling north on Selman Road, approaching the intersection of Peachtree Drive at 7:47 p.m.  When he attempted to turn right onto Peachtree Drive, his pickup truck went onto the north shoulder of the road and rolled down the embankment.  The truck collided with a metal fence before coming to rest in a holding pond, according to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP was assisted at the scene by the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Department, Gadsden County EMS and the Quincy Fire Department.
