To advance community health and wellness
Calhoun Liberty Hospital Foundation established
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – A new era of community support for healthcare in Calhoun and Liberty Counties has begun with the official establishment of the Calhoun Liberty Hospital Foundation. This dedicated organization will serve as a vital philanthropic arm, committed to enhancing the health and wellness of the community through its support of the new Calhoun Liberty Hospital.
The Foundation’s inaugural board of directors brings together a diverse group of passionate community leaders. Ava Plummer has been appointed as Chair, with Bill Gaskin serving as Vice Chair. Emily Brown will take on the role of Secretary, and Vicki Montford will serve as Treasurer. Other founding members include Chris Atkins, Stacy Miller, Mark Plummer, Tim Revell, and Carol Hobby.
The Foundation board is currently developing a comprehensive outline of goals and initiatives, all aligned with its core mission of supporting the hospital and, by extension, the well-being of local residents. “The establishment of the hospital Foundation marks a significant milestone for our community,” said Emily Brown, CEO of Calhoun Liberty Hospital. “This Foundation will play a crucial role in enabling us to provide the highest quality of care and expand our services, ensuring a healthier future for everyone in Calhoun and Liberty Counties. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and vision of this founding board.”
As its inaugural project, the Foundation has adopted key areas on the grounds of the new Calhoun Liberty Hospital for landscaping. This beautification effort will be supported by a commemorative brick sale, allowing community members to purchase memorial or honor bricks. These personalized bricks will be laid in designated outdoor spaces, providing serene areas for visitors to enjoy fresh air and reflection.
CLH Foundation Chair Plummer expressed her enthusiasm for the new endeavor. “Having recently moved back to the area after many years, it is truly an honor to be a part of launching the hospital’s first foundation,” said Plummer. “We are eager to begin our work, starting with the landscaping and the brick sale, which will allow the community to directly contribute to and literally leave their mark on this vital institution.”
Community members interested in supporting the Calhoun Liberty Hospital Foundation as a member can find more information at www.CalhounLibertyHospital.com/Foundation or the Foundation’s Facebook page. Individual membership is available for $100 per person. For those who wish to become a charter sponsor, levels begin at $250.
Foundation members are looking forward to the grand opening of the Calhoun Liberty Hospital on Thursday, July 31st. They will be actively assisting with the event and will have information available for those interested in learning more about the Foundation and how to get involved.
