The unidentified driver of an SUV was traveling east on SR 20 near Blue Jay Lane and Blountstown Highway when the vehicle collided with the bike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  The impact ejected the rider, who was not wearing a helmet.  She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The driver sped away from the scene.  The vehicle is believed to be an older model white SUV, possibly a 1999 to 2006 Tahoe or Yukon.   “It should have front right damage to the bumper, headlight, and grill area,” according to FHP Captain Jason King, Quincy District Commander.

Anyone in the community who might have any information about the fatal hit and run is urged to contact the Florida Highway Patrol through *FHP (*347) and reference the hit and run crash on SR 20 Sunday night.
