BRISTOL, FL – Longtime Veteran Service Officer Johnny Eubanks was recently honored by having the West auditorium of the Veterans Memorial Civic Center in Bristol named for him.  It is now known as the “Johnny B. Eubanks Auditorium.”

Local veterans, many of whom Johnny assisted in their dealings with the Veterans Administration, made the request and it was approved in a unanimous vote by the Liberty County Commission.

Johnny served for 54 consecutive years as a Veteran Service Officer, retiring in 2014.  This is the longest span in the nation and a record unlikely to be broken.  During all those years, he provided invaluable help to countless veterans, widows of veterans, and orphans of veterans.
