Bristol mobile home burns

BRISTOL, FL – One person is dead following a mobile home fire just outside the Bristol City Limits on Friday, Sept. 18, according Liberty County Undersheriff Bobby Revell.
The fire was reported at 11:45 a.m. when someone in the area noticed the smoke coming from a mobile home, located on Old Post Road off Hoecake Road. Fire departments from both Liberty and Calhoun County responded. Revell said firefighters had to put a lot of water on the site after the fire got into the attic. Firefighters from Bristol, Hosford, Rock Bluff, Nettle Ridge and Blountstown responded.
“There was no threat to the community,” Revell said. “We’re pretty confident we know what happened and once that investigation is complete, we’ll provide additional information.”
The State Fire Marshals Office and FDLE are assisting the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
