BIZZY BEES

BLOUNTSTOWN – Veronica Ware displays a section of the patriotic piece she is working on during the weekly gathering of the Bizzy Bees quilting group at the W.T. Neal Civic Center in Blountstown Monday afternoon.  The group was working on quilts to give to local veterans.  Ware travels from her Lake Talquin home each week  and enjoys visiting with others as they share their skills around a table ringed with sewing machines and piled high with colorful cloth waiting to be transformed into family heirlooms.  The group meets each Monday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. CT.  Those interested are welcome to bring their sewing materials, take a chair and join the group for some socializing while learning new quilting techniques.  DIANE EVANS PHOTOS
