DONNIE RAY MCLENDON

ALTHA – Donnie Ray McLendon, 58 of Altha, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, in Marianna. He was born in Marianna, July 18, 1964, to James and Faye McLendon and was a foreman for Mowrey Elevator Company. Donnie was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and worked for Mowrey Elevator since 1984. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Cast and Blast Hunting Club.

Survivors include his wife, Maria McLendon of Altha; his sons, Nick McLendon (Kendal) of Clarksville and Brent McLendon (Angel) Clarksville, TN; his parents, James and Faye McLendon; a brother, Paul Ross of Clarksville; a sister, Brenda McLendon of Blountstown; his grandchildren, Gunner, Marleigh, Brantley, Lily and Chandler McLendon and his father and mother-in-law, A.J. and Jackie Wise of Blountstown. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Services to honor Donnie’s life were Friday, June 16, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown.  Online condolences may be made at adamsfh.com
