Donald Raymond Mears
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Donald Raymond Mears, age 68, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023. He was born Jan. 5, 1955, to Coy Henry Mears and Helen O’Bryan Mears.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Lawrence Hathaway; brother, Bobby Mears; sister, Betty Hodge; nephews, Steve Mears Jr., and Chase Donahue.
He is survived by his brothers, Steve Mears Sr. and Pat Mears of Blountstown, Jackie Mears of Lake Talquin, Clinton Mears and Lori Ann Earnest of Blountstown, Bill Mears and Sherry Barber of the Alliance Community; sister, Shirley Mears Davis of Blountstown; special niece, Stephanie Mears of Clarksville and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 15 from 1 p.m. CT until 2 p.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. The service will begin at 2 p.m. CT with Rev. Allan Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha.
All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
