Man tased after speeding
away to avoid traffic stop
BRISTOL – An early morning chase down Rock Bluff Road resulted in the arrest of a Bristol man who led deputies to his home after he tried to avoid a traffic stop.
A Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol at 12:40 a.m. Saturday when a man driving a white Honda drove past him on Rock Bluff Road.
When the deputy noticed the vehicle’s tag lights were not working, he turned around make a traffic stop. The driver then speed away, ignoring the marked patrol vehicle’s lights and siren.
The driver make a quick turn onto Hall Circle and continued for a half mile before pulling i
n at a residence and jumping out of the car.
The pursing deputy caught up with the man and yelled out that he would be tased if he did not stop. The driver ignored him and ran toward the door of the home.
The deputy fired his taser, with one probe hitting the suspect just before he ran through the door and locked it behind him.
Other deputies arrived and began trying to talk the man out over their PA system. Deputies could hear the man inside, cursing loudly, before he finally emerged from the home. He was handcuffed and taken into custody without incident.
A driver’s license check showed that Corey Sharondy McCullough, 53, had four previous arrests for driving while license suspended or revoked.
He was given a fifth charge on the same offense, and also charged with fleeing and eluding an officer with lights and siren active – a felony – along with a third charge for resisting arrest without violence.
His bond was set at $850.

man’s camper, locking him out
BRISTOL – A woman found hiding under a bedspread was arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with trespassing after she locked a man out of his camper and began tearing the place apart, according to a report from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.
The man living in the camper called authorities after Jennifer Farrell, 37, locked herself in and refused to leave his Franklin Whittaker Road residence. He reported she showed up uninvited and began damaging his property. He reminded the dispatcher that deputies had removed her from his property several times before.
When deputies arrived, they found the door locked. When a deputy called out to Farrell, she refused to respond. He attempted to speak with her several times through an open window but she remained quiet.
Deputies then pried the door open and went inside, where they found items strewn all over the floor and discovered Farrell in the bed. She stood up after they ordered her to get out of the bed. They had to ask her several times to put on a shirt before she complied.
She was handcuffed and taken into custody.
She was later released on her own recognizance and ordered not to return to the property or contact the victim.

CALHOUN COUNTY – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Calhoun County deputies and members of the North Star Multijurisdictional Task Force made seven arrests Friday night, Nov. 3, while serving warrants.
Those taken into custody included:
•Danny Alex Hill, who was arrested on an outstanding narcotic warrant from Liberty County. Hill was additionally charged with possession of a control Substance (meth) that was located on his person during the arrest.
•Tre Allen McCullough was arrested on an outstanding violation of probation warrant. He was found at a residence on 22nd Street in Blountstown
•Tommy Joe Thurman Jr. was arrested on outstanding warrants for driving with no valid license, possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found hiding at a home on 22nd Street in Blountstown.
•Henry Fain was arrested at a residence on 22nd Street in Blountstown and charged with possession of a controlled substance and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.
•Aaron Coley Livingston was arrested on an outstanding violation of probation warrant. He was found walking along 22nd Street in Blountstown.
•Johney Wayne Clemons was arrested for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (ATV) upon the roadway and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
•Kelyn Decar Paramore was arrested for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (ATV) upon the roadway driving with a suspended or revoked license.
