Charles “Chuck” Damon O’Bryan

MARIETTA, GA – Charles “Chuck” Damon O’Bryan, 85, peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 4, 2024. He was born on March 12, 1939 in Altha, FL.

Chuck was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charlie and Estelle and his sister Jeanette.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Danielle, and his five children: Charles O’Bryan Jr. and his wife Rise, Sheila O’Bryan Thomas, Kevin O’Bryan and his wife Dietra, Kami O’Bryan Seagraves and her husband Jimmy and Kyle O’Bryan and his wife Marsha. Chuck also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, his sister, Mary-Lou and his brothers Bobby and Don.

Chuck dedicated his life to his wife and family. Starting with his service in the Army and then moving into construction in 1965, he clearly demonstrated a strong work ethic and determination. Becoming the top superintendent at Beers Construction was a significant accomplishment and speaks to Chuck’s skill and dedication in his field. He leaves behind a legacy of many buildings, such as The High Museum of Art, Bobby Dodd Stadium, and The Bank of America Building, which illuminate the Atlanta skyline so brightly.

His 20 years of retirement brought him many joys, such as RV travels, lake days, camping by the beach, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Monday, July 8 at 3 p.m. at Marietta Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.
