Obituary – William Shane Maneth

BRISTOL, FL – William Shane,  Maneth, 43, entered his eternal home on Oct. 15, 2024, with his wife by his side.

He leaves behind his wife, Garrett Maneth, his three children: Kayla Hostetter (24) and husband Dustin, Noah Maneth (18), and Madix Maneth (16); one granddaughter, Pasiley Hostetter (2);  his sister, Chelsey Bernardi, spouse Mike and nephews Wyatt and Logan; niece Charleigh and his mother, Cindy Maneth of Tallahassee.

Shane was the true definition of a family man and a devout follower of Jesus Christ. Everything he did, he did for others. Shane and his wife Garret founded and manage the Earthen Vessels Women’s Recovery that works diligently to help women out of addiction by offering them refuge and helping them find true freedom in our Lord Jesus Christ. Shane was nick-named “the house dad” because “in true dad fashion” was always the fixer of things. He was always the one everyone turned to when something went wrong. This characteristic is also what made him an excellent employee.

He worked for Webber Infra. for 15 years, working his way from laborer to Project Manager for D3 structures. Shane loved his job and many of his co-workers have recently been known to say, “Shane just held us together”.

When Shane wasn’t working or fixing up the recovery, he was spending time with his wife, daughter, granddaughter or three boys, Dustin, Noah or Madix.

The other part of his time he was worshipping in the house of our LORD. Shane was not a member to one particular church, but rather went to various different churches with the ladies at the recovery making sure they understood that following Christ is not about one single church or denomination or even a building itself, but rather a group of people who love and serve the LORD. Shane’s love for the LORD was evident not in just his words but his actions.

We know that his time on earth was short and while we wish we knew the answer to “why?”, what we do know is that Shane spent his life living for the LORD and guiding others towards HIS light. In the words of his favorite song “Perfect submission, all is at rest. I know the author of tomorrow has ordered my steps. So, this is my story, and this is my song. I’m praising my risen King and Savior all the day long” (Trust in God by Elevation Worship).

Services will be held Friday Oct. 18 at Altha Church of God with the visitation beginning at 2 p.m. CT (3 p.m. ET) and service at 3 p.m. CT (4  p.m. ET).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Earthen Vessels Women’s Recovery.

All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
