in Saturday crash
CALHOUN COUNTY, FL – A 42-year-old Blountstown man was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries following a single-vehicle accident just before 6 a.m. Saturday, June 8, according to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver was southbound on CR 69, just north of SE Fitten Road when he went off the left side of the road. The undercarriage of the car struck a culvert, which sent the vehicle airborne. When the car dropped back to the ground, it rolled over and came to rest on the driver’s side.
The driver was taken to Bay Medical Hospital by Survival Flight #21.
Wewa bike rider
seriously injured
in Monday collision
GULF COUNTY, FL – A 30-year-old Wewahitchka man sustained serious injuries after his bicycle ran into a car Monday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the bicyclist was going north in the southbound bike lane of SR 7 at 4:40 p.m.
A 56-year-old Panama City man was making a left turn onto SR 22 from SR 71 when his car collided with the bicyclist.
The injured bike rider was taken to Ascension Sacred Heart with serious injuries following the June 10 accident.
