Monday night fire destroys home
in Blountstown; cause unknown
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a late Monday night fire that destroyed a Blountstown home located at 20015 NE Burns Avenue.
“Fire suppression began immedately and a rapid primary search for victims was conducted,” said Blountstown Fire Chief Ben Hall. He said they did not find anyone home when they responded to the 11:38 p.m. call.
Blountstown Firefighters were assisted on scene by Magnolia and Nettle Ridge Fire Departments as well as the Blountstown Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
