BLOUNTSTOWN SPLASH PAD OPENS
The coolest place in Blountstown opens!
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday morning in Blountstown to officially open up the long-awaited Splash Pad, located on NW Pear Street in Depot Park. “Watching children having the time of the lives was something to see,” said Blountstown Mayor Tony Shoemake. He was quick to add that the project was made possible by generous donations by businesses and individuals, along with the hard work of city employees. He asks that families enjoy the $200,000-plus new play area and urged that they respect the rules by not bringing pets or any glass items and ensuring that their children have supervision.
