Hybrid Public Hearing planned Sept. 26
CHIPLEY – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a hybrid public hearing concerning the S.R. 20 Apalachicola River Bridge (Westbound Old Trammell Bridge) PD&E study in Calhoun and Liberty counties, Tuesday, Sept. 26. The hearing will begin with an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. (CDT), followed by a formal presentation and public comment period.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the virtual hearing at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings. Those who are unable to participate virtually may attend the hearing in-person at W.T. Neal Civic Center, 17773 NE Pear Street, Blountstown. Pre-registration is required for the virtual format and encouraged for in- person attendees.
This hearing is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to review the results of the study and to provide input on the preferred alternative. The intent of this study is to evaluate multiple alternatives relative to the future of the Westbound Old Trammell Bridge and how these alternatives will impact motor vehicle and navigation activities along the project area, as well as identify how the bridge provides service to the local community area.
