MARIANNA, FL – Catherine Nelson Reather, 73, Â passed away on Nov. 17, 2024. Â She was born to Thomas and Dorothy Nelson in Marianna on Oct. 26, 1951.
Catherine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her family at Damascus Baptist Church.
She was a retired bank teller and her love for flowers and plants brought her much joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Philip Nelson.
Catherine is survived by a daughter, Jenna Girdler; stepson, Joshua Adams; sister, Susan Nelson Vincent; two granddaughters; one grandson; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Nov. 21 in the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. CT until service time at 2 p.m.CT. Interment will follow at Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown.
All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
