Blountstown native, Kevon Godwin, earns 2nd
All-Region Honor at Angelo State University
SAN ANGELO, TX – Kevon Godwin of Blountstown, a junior guard on the Angelo State University Rams basketball team, has been named to the All-South Central Region second team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
After redshirting due to injury last season, Godwin returned with a vengeance in 2022-23, ranking third in Lone Star Conference scoring at 16.9 points per game.
He also led the LSC in three-point shooting percentage (40%) and ranked sixth in minutes (1,023) and ninth in shooting percentage (45.7) on his way to being selected to the All-LSC first team.
He helped lead the Rams to a 26-7 overall record, including 19-3 in LSC play, a trip to the LSC Tournament final and their first NCAA postseason appearance since 2016.
Godwin was also named to the all-region second team by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) earlier this month.
