by JCSO K-9 Tracking Unit
On Monday, Nov. 20, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies received information from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office that William Foxworth, who had several active warrants in Washington County, was at an address on Sapp Road in Cottondale. When deputies arrived, Sapp immediately fled. Deputies established a perimeter, and the K-9 Tracking Unit and Drone Unit were deployed.
After tracking Foxworth for approximately seven miles, the K-9 Tracking Unit located him in a marshy area off Rushin Road.
Foxworth was arrested and will be transported back to Washington County to face charges.
