Havana man killed in
crash, two from Bristol
are seriously injured
GADSDEN COUNTY – An early morning crash claimed the life of a 32-year-old Havana man and sent a Bristol teenager and his passenger to the hospital with serious injuries Sunday.
According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old male driver in a pickup truck was traveling the wrong way in a lane of US 90 at Raymond Road in Gadsden County just before 4 a.m. when he hit an oncoming car head-on.
The impact overturned the pickup, blocking the road. The car came to stop on the shoulder of US 90. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup and his passenger, identified as a 26-year-old male from Bristol, were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
FHP was assisted at the scene by the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, EMS and Fire Rescue.
