Homeless population count important for Calhoun County

http://www.cljnews.com

Doorways of Northwest FL will be in Calhoun County Jan. 26-30 to get a count of the homeless population. Last year Calhoun County was the ONLY COUNTY that reported 0 therefore no funding was made available to Calhoun County.

Homeless doesn’t only mean living outside or in a shelter but rather one without adequate electricity, water, shelter, etc. People living in cars or currently sheltering in a friend’s residence may be included as well.

They will be set up at the following libraries:  Kinard, Mossy Pond, and Blountstown to help people complete surveys for assistance.
