An early morning walk along CR 167 in Calhoun County ended tragically when a man died after he was hit by a vehicle around 3:18 a.m. Sunday.
According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the pedestrian – who has yet to be identified –Â was wearing dark clothing as he walked southbound in the northbound lane.
A 35-year-old Marianna man was driving northbound on the road, which is south of Twin Roads Road, was unable to see the pedestrian before running into to him with his Nissan Rogue.
The fatality was a white male who did not have any ID. Â
MAY 9, 2023 UPDATE:Â The man killed while walking on CR 167 has been identified as a 35-year-old man from Greenville.
