New traffic signal goes up on SR 20 at
Charlie Johns Street in Blountstown
CHIPLEY – A new traffic signal on S.R. 20, in Calhoun County at the Charlie Johns Street and Warren Street intersection in Blountstown will go into flash mode on Wednesday, Aug. 30. Drivers on SR 20 will encounter a yellow flashing signal, meaning they should slow down and proceed through the intersection with caution. The new signal will remain in flash mode for two weeks before becoming fully activated with standard green, red, and yellow lights.
All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area, to watch for construction equipment entering and leaving the roadway, and to use caution when driving through the work zone. Speeding fines are doubled when workers are present.
