She was a Mom first to her four children and also worked with the Gadsden County School Board for 26 years until her retirement at the age of 65. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was dedicated to her church, loved to work in the yard and make her own bouquet of flowers to put in her house.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Ed” Peacock, of 62 years; her parents; one sister and one brother. She is survived by one brother; three sisters; her four daughters, Lynn McCann of Palatka, Carolyn Poythress of Quincy, Tammy Peacock of Tallahassee and Terri Joyce (Steve) of Jacksonville; one grandson, Kyle Poythress (Marissa) and three great grandsons: Lane, Mason and Cohen of Dellwood.
