Obituary – Alene Waldroff Grice

ALENE WALDROFF GRICE

BRISTOL – Alene Waldroff Grice, 80, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at her home the evening of Feb. 27, 2023. She made her transition surrounded by her loving family, who were her caregivers. Alene was a wonderful mother, memaw, sister and aunt, who worked hard to raise her two daughters. She loved spending time with the joys of her world, which were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alene enjoyed yard work and gardening. She worked many years with her brothers in Altha at the Waldroff Dixie Dandy grocery store. Alene was born and raised in Altha, living there most of her life.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Allie Mae Waldroff; brothers, Danny Gene Waldroff, Charles Waldroff, and Gary Waldroff of Altha and sister-in-law, Carolyn Waldroff also of Altha.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Nancy Grice of Bristol and Becky Grice (Scott Kimbrel) of Bristol; grandchildren, Kourtney (Lance), Kylie (Caleb), Karly, Renae, Kayden and Kayleen; great-grandchildren, Zoie, Lexie, Arie, Jett and Jace, all of Bristol; brother, Stanley Waldroff (Gail) of Altha; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Family received friends March 6, 2023, at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Services were officiated by Reverend Michael Morris. Interment followed at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha.

All arrangements were made under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
