BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Beverly Jean Baker Holmes, 83, of Blountstown, transitioned from labor to reward Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 peacefully at her home. She was an active member at the St. Paul AME Church of Blountstown and loved going to the Calhoun County Senior Citizens Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 21 at St. Paul AME Church in Blountstown with burial at St. Rose Sunset Gardens in Grand Ridge. Viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 20 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children, Karen Anita Holmes Engram of Chattahoochee, Von T. Holmes of Wewahitchka and Hamilton Thomas of Blountstown; six siblings, Lottie Durrick of Pennsylvania, Margie Moore (Arthur), Shirley Walker (Ernest), Wade Longmire (Veronica), Samuel Longmire and Carol Longmire Harris, all of Pensacola; four godchildren, Jerry Hogans, Kendrick Love, Sr., Taneka Copeland and Dyneisha Simpson; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Professional services are entrusted to Bradwell Mortuary of Quincy.
