Clydus Bramblette
ALTHA, FL – Clydus Bramblette Jr., 93, of Altha passed away Sunday Sept. 3, 2023, at Sims Veterans Home.
Clydus was born July 30, 1930, to Ollie Mae (Hall) and Clydus Greene Bramblette. Clydus, also known as “Pa”, was known for his love for plants and gardening, his love for fishing, and being a gentle, kind, and loving person to everyone he met, and he never met a stranger.
Clydus is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Lillian; his mom, Ollie Mae Shelton; his dad, Clydus Greene Bramblette; his stepfather, Thomas Everitt Shelton; his sister, Adrienne Branning; and grandson Benjamin Bramblette.
Survivors include his children, Benny Bramblette (Charity) of Chipley, Verlie Bass of Lynn Haven; grandchildren, Michelle Bass of Panama City, Matthew Bramblette (Christin) of Panama City, Elizabeth Dorman (John) of Altha, Colton Bramblette of Chipley; great-grandchildren, Pyper, Harper, Dominic, Colby, Scarlytt, and Mickayla; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends and family Thursday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. CT at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allan Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Travelers Rest Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
