CALHOUN COUNTY, FL – Edna Barfield, 94, passed away on Dec. 5, 2024. Â She was born to Floy and Nettie Kay on Sept. 25, 1930.
Edna enjoyed traveling, camping, being outdoors, and watching hummingbirds. Edna loved to keep her house and cook for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Kay, and sister, Jean Register.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Deborah Fontaine of Lexington, SC, Rhonda Harrell of Marianna, FL, Regina Nickison (Diane) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Cheston Nickison, Joshua Nickison, Jessica Johnson, Chance Walton; and numerous great-grandchildren and her only surviving sister, Marie (Rhea) Hilbourn of North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
