Edward H. Ligon
BRISTOL, FL – Edward H. Ligon of Bristol was born in Richmond, VA on Jan. 25, 1932, and passed away in Blountstown at 92 years on Aug. 23, 2024.
Foremost, Edward was a professed Christian, a member of the First Baptist Church in Bristol.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He had early careers with the Gulf Oil Company and Pepsi Company. He worked with Caterpillar through two dealerships located in the Washington, D. C. area and then in central Illinois for 38 years. He ended his careers as mechanics instructor and representative for central Illinois Caterpillar “TEPS” dealerships as well as a mechanics instructor for Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Edward moved to Bristol upon retiring from Caterpillar.
He is survived by three children, four stepchildren, and their families through four generations.
His recent wife, Eleanor Culverhouse Ligon of Bristol, passed away on June 24, 2024.
