Obituary – Erika Maria Lohrer Ford

BRISTOL, FL  – Erika Maria Gabriella Lohrer Ford, 88, born April 22, 1935, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on September 5, 2023.

Erika was born in Friedrichshafen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany to Johann Michael and Anna Maria Lohrer. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 53 years, Page Lamar Ford; her daughter, Suzann Ford Stoutamire (Tommy); her twin brother, Egon; younger brother, Peter; and her parents.  She is survived by her other children, Stephen (Vanesa) Ford, Maria Ford Crump (Joseph) and a brother, Hans Lohrer.

She was a beloved Oma to nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren include Stephenie (Jared) Roberts, Justin (Kelley) Ford, Tyler (Lauren) Stoutamire, Erin (Adam) Walker, Jace (Laura) Ford, Tessa (Noah) Byler, Leah (Ben) Bass, Josh Crump and Mannie Crump. Great-grandchildren: Renner, Allie and Breaker Roberts; Peyton and Presley Ford; Reid and Beckett Stoutamire; Annalohrer and Whit Walker; Lexi, Jax and Max Ford; Cooper and Graham Byler; and Bauer Bass.

She retired as the Florida Senate Bill Room Supervisor, where she served for over 30 years. However, her favorite job was being a Mother and Oma. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was sealed to her husband for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. ET on Friday Sept. 8, 2023 at Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. Todd Wahlquist with Bevis  Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
