LIBERTY COUNTY, FL – Hali Carin Ellis, 41, went to be with her Heavenly Father and many other loved ones on June 28, 2024. She was born March 31, 1983 in Liberty County and is the daughter of Monroe and Katrina Peddie and Wendell and Debbie Ellis, all of Liberty County, FL.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Randall Aubrey Musgrove and her paternal grandfathers, Ray Ellis and Riley Malone Peddie.
She is survived by siblings: Kaleb and Miranda Ellis, Jedadiah Ellis, Whaylon and Jessica Peddie, Matthew and Hillary Mears, Kerstin Peddie, Chase and Lindsay Peddie, Falynn Peddie, Jasper Ellis and Maggie Ellis. Hali is also survived by grandmothers Wanda Musgrove, Betty Ellis and Darleen Peddie.
Hali was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was born with a servant heart and loved helping people. She served countless hours as a family history consultant where she excelled in helping people research their genealogy.
Hali graduated from Liberty County High School in the class of 2000. She loved all Bulldog sports but especially loved playing softball. Later, she loved rooting for Florida State University Seminole football even more. She was very creative and an excellent writer. She loved square dancing, scrapbooking and the outdoors. She had a smile that lit up the room, an infectious laugh and a larger-than-life personality.
Professionally, she found her niche in the hospitality industry and was very good at it. She also worked in retail and wherever she was employed was made better by her positive attitude, her work ethic and her many contributions.
She leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her immensely.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, July 3 at Blue Creek Cemetery in the Blue Creek Community of Liberty County.
Bevis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
