Henry was educated in the Calhoun County school system and was a graduate of Mayhaw High School’s class of 1965 in Blountstown. He was employed at Shoprite as a night manager for 30 years.
There were two things that Henry loved: sports and playing cards. He enjoyed watching football games with his family and friends and was a fan of the Dolphins and Giants. He had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh. He also was a very outgoing and talkative person. He was never shy to express himself and his beliefs. He had a passion for cooking and his specialty was southern fried chicken.
To know Henry was to love Henry. He would go out of his way to make others feel welcome and was a kind and loving person. He will truly be missed by many people whose lives he touched along the way.
Henry leaves to cherish his children: Judy Lockridge, Leslie Thomas, and Brian Thomas, his four grandchildren, Nicholas and Nyles Lockridge, and April and Amanda Thomas, his three siblings, Katrena Alexander, Isaiah Thomas, and Laura Byrd, the love of his life and mother of his sons Lurene White, alongside a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
