Hubert Lamar Brown
ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Hubert Lamar Brown, age 80, of Adairsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Hubert was born on Dec. 10, 1944 in Altha, FL, son of the late Rupert Holmes Brown and Margie Marshall Brown. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Underwood.
Hubert grew up in Florida on his family’s 600-acre farm, where he developed a love for gardening and working with tractors. Hubert was a retired inspector from Colonial Pipeline, where he dedicated 35 years of service. After retirement, he continued to contribute his skills by working for Integrity Inspection and was also a licensed electrician.
Hubert was an active member of the Adairsville Church on the Square and the Chickamauga Masonic Lodge #221. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family. Hubert will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Marsha Underwood Brown; children, Tammy Worley (Matt), Melissa Southerland (Michael), Lori Brown, and Kevin Brown; grandchildren, Christopher Worley (Shana) and Josh Worley (Kayleigh); great-grandchildren, Emma and Briggs Worley; sisters, Anne Mickey (Wayne), Elaine Hill (James), and Linda Horton (John); sister-in-law, Linda Thrash (Joe); brother-in-law, Terry Underwood (Janet) and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at Adairsville Church on the Square with Minister Adam Toole officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Christopher Worley, Josh Worley, Joe Thrash, Greg Thrash, David Garrison, and James Hill.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home of Adairsville will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
