Jackie Lynn Jones King
HOSFORD, FL – Jackie Lynn Jones King, 58, of Hosford passed away on Friday, Dec. 27 at TMH Compassionate Care after a long battle with heart disease.
Jackie was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 13th, 1966. She was raised in Hosford and lived there all her life.
She retired from the State of Florida, and had worked in Corrections in Liberty County.
Jackie loved reading books, and had a huge heart for veterans. She helped a lot of veterans who were suicidal, and gave them encouragement by participating in Buddy Checks, which is an online program that aims to end veteran suicide.
She loved her five grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Kay Pullam Jones, and her father, Gerald Lee Jones.
She is survived by her oldest daughter, Heather King Bracewell and husband Joe Bracewell of Fort Braden; her youngest daughter, Devin King, of Hosford; one niece, Carrie Jacobs and husband David Jacobs; two great-nephews, Reed and Ridge of Bristol, and one brother, Darrell Jones, of Hosford; five grandchildren, Makanlys Allen and fiancé Forrest Sellers of Bristol, Gunner and Cheyenne Hemanes and Carson and Summer Lyda, all of Fort Braden, along with many other family members and cousins that she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 12:50 on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at Telogia Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Evans Family cemetery.
