James Stanford “Monk” Tucker
ALTHA, FL – James Stanford “Monk” Tucker, age 73, of Altha passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Marianna.
James was born Dec. 6, 1950 in Blountstown and had lived in Calhoun County all of his life. He was of the Protestant faith.
James genuinely loved his children and grandchildren. He loved target practicing and fish baiting. James enjoyed tinkering with stuff, looking for arrow heads and had a green thumb. He also enjoyed eating his Little Debbie cakes.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan Tucker, and Carrie Elizabeth (Abbott) Tucker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Jennifer Tucker of Altha; two sons, Nick Tucker and girlfriend Ashley of Altha and Ronnie Tucker and wife Breanne of Michigan; daughter Carrie Tucker and fiancée Travis Foster of Altha; three brothers, Morgan Tucker and wife Cora of Altha, Earl Tucker and wife Betty of Altha, Rex Tucker of Blountstown; sister Shirley Womble of Altha and eight grandchildren, including Isabella, Phoenix Tucker, Spencer O’Bryan, Peighton, Dawson Tucker, Brody, Chase, and Elijah Foster.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 12 at 3 p.m. (CT) at Tucker Family Cemetery in Altha with Jason Tucker officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (CT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
