Jennie Dee Fant Stricker
ALTHA, FL – Jennie Dee (Fant) Stricker, 79, of Altha, passed away on Jan. 14, 2025.
Jennie was born on Jan. 24, 1945 to the late Albert and Trudie Fant.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, antiquing, and flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Stricker; son Marty Smiley and daughter Fe Smiley; siblings, Phillip Fant, William Fant, Dolly Mercer, Lillian Bramblett, Julia O’Bryan, Karen Blackburn, Beneva Mayo, Carolen Anemos, Thelma Fant, and half-brother, Carl Fant.
Survivors include sons, Stephen Smiley (Katie) of Altha, Buel Smiley (Deb) of Texas; grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Stephanie, Anisha, Haleigh; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held on Jan. 23 at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will begin at 11 a.m. CT and service at 12 p.m. CT with Pastor Allan Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Old Shiloh Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
