Lois L. Blackburn
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Lois L. Blackburn, 97, of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Lois was born May 20, 1927 to J.H. (Jim) and Lura Bailey in Frink. She enjoyed working in the yard with flowers or in the garden, and handcrafts like crochet.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, V.L. Blackburn; daughter, Edna Ruth Young; brothers, J. Frank Bailey, Jimmy Bailey, Michael Wayne Bailey; sister Juanita McCoy and great-grandchild, Charles Benjamin Barbee III.
She is survived by her son, Windle (Daphine) Blackburn; grandchildren, Dedra (Mike) Bouchard, Jeris Barbee, Brian Blackburn, Melissa (Keith) Smith; great-grandchildren, Francis (Mindy), Tyler Daniels, Kayla Bouchard, Kathryn (Joseph) Hall, Jessica (Henry) Falgaut, Bridget Barbee, Jessica (James) Rockhill, Alyssa Blackburn, Brianna Blackburn, Kolby Smith; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Herndon, Mary Edna Whitehead, Betty Sue O’Connor, Yvonne Broom, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services were be held July 3 at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Pine Memorial Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
