PORT ST. JOE, FL –  Margaret Inell Stutzman, age 82, of Port St. Joe, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024.

Inell was born in Calhoun County on Oct. 28, 1941 to James Joseph “Jimmy” Pitts and Florene Rebecca (Peavy) Pitts.

She moved to Port St. Joe in 1966 and became a well-loved member of the community. Inell worked in the Tax Collector’s Office for Gulf County until retirement.

She loved to listen to gospel music and enjoyed growing flowers. Inell was a caregiver and a servant to her church and her community since 1966. She loved her family unconditionally. Inell was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Port St. Joe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Otheda, a granddaughter Emily, niece Becky, and nephew Brad.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hinote of New Port Richey; son Tim Stutzman and Nancy of Union, WA; brother Allen Pitts of the Abe Springs Community; five grandchildren including Jeremy (Dee), Amanda, Laura, Alex, and Lisa; three great-grandchildren, Ben H., Ben B., and Linessa and nephew Wayne Gable.

Services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Port St. Joe at 2 p.m. (ET) with Rev. Dave Fernandez and Jimmy Gainey officiating. The family will receive friends that day from 1 p.m. (ET) until service time at 2 p.m. (ET). Interment will take place at 4 p.m. (ET) at Abe Springs Cemetery in Blountstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Port St. Joe or Abe Springs Baptist Church in Blountstown.

All arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
