Mary Frances Williams

ALTHA, FL  – Mary Frances Williams, 79, of Altha, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her home.

Frances was born March 11, 1945 in Blountstown to the late Howard and Cassie Newman.  She was a librarian in Bay County libraries for 23 years. She had a passion for reading and also loved to paint and collect art.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Blountstown.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her two husbands, Edward Carter and Lewis Williams, and her son, Edward Carter II.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law Maria Mercer, her grandchildren, Cody, Mary, Fritz, Cassandra, Garrett and Colt and a cousin, Alice McCardle.

Memorialization will be by cremation. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
