Milton Cornelious Davis Sr.
PALMETTO, FL – Milton Cornelious Davis, Sr., born on Jan. 11, 1966 in Blountstown transitioned peacefully on Oct. 28, 2024. He was an adored son, brother, and father, leaving behind a heritage of hard work, dedication, and tenacity.
Milton, 58, was the first-born son of Queenie Mae Davis, who preceded him in death, and Henry Cornelious Davis, Sr.(Lavern). In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two older sisters, Betty Ann Smith and Lillie Ann Felicia Davis; and a granddaughter, Promise Davis.
Milton was educated in the Manatee County School system but was self-taught in the mastery of mechanics, electronics, and art. He was truly a hard worker, and despite the stern disposition, he had a caring heart.
He worked at AAA scrapyard for many years and embraced the owners as family, as they did him.
Milton leaves to hold dear his memories: his sons, Milton Cornelious Davis, Jr., and Jerome C. Davis; daughters, Shanequa T. Davis and Milira Davis; one very special grandson, Milton Cornelious Davis; sisters, Michelle Davis, Berzelious Davis, and Jeanetta C. Taylor (Lawrence); brothers, Henry Cornelious Davis, Jr., and Carlos Davis; one aunt, Yvonne Jackson (Lee); three uncles, Isaiah Smith, Bruce Smith, and Lester Smith; five nephews; seven nieces; and a host of cousins and associates.
Services were held Nov. 8 at the Eleventh Street Church of Christ in Palmetto, followed by a Celebration of Life on Nov. 9 at the same location.
