Obituary – Patricia Carolyn McNair
Patricia Carolyn McNair
ALTHA, FL – Patricia Carolyn McNair, 70, of Altha, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2024 in Panama City. Â She was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Blountstown to the late Theo and Martha Strickland.
A long-time caregiver for the elderly, she was an amazing person, wonderful parent and the best Grandmother ever! She had the biggest heart and was one of the most compassionate people you would ever meet. She was a selfless person who dedicated herself to helping others, she continually put people ahead of herself. She chose a career where she was able to put those values into action.
She loved going to the beach, laughing with loved ones and was physically unable to drive by a yard sale on the offhand chance she could find a new treasure. We loved going on adventures to places like St. Augustine, Biloxi and Pensacola spending time and making treasured memories.
Carolyn’s favorite thing in the world was her grandson, Emmett: talking about Emmett, looking at pictures and ensuring everyone she knew saw every picture she had of Emmett. Her face would light up when they were together. She was extremely proud to be his grandma. She was enormously loved, and her sudden loss will be felt for some time.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Troy Huff, and her sister, Josephine “Tina” Strickland.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Lewis and his wife Lisa; Â Tony Strickland and her grandson, Emmett Lewis, Â as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service honoring Carolyn’s life was held Jan. 13 Â at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown.
Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at adamsfh.com
