BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Robert E. Melvin, 74 of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023. He was born Feb. 24, 1949, in Clarksville to the late Leonard Lee and Lillie Mae Melvin. Robert was a long-distance truck driver ever since he was old enough to get his CDL license and after retirement, he worked delivering local dump truck loads wherever they were needed.
Other than his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hough.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Staggs and her husband Jeff of TN; his brother, Franklin Melvin of Clarksville; a sister, Mary Eunice Lewis of Blountstown; his grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Staggs; his great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Trinity, Talon and Tesley; his sister-in-law, Anne Hough and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
