MONTICELLO, FL – Ruth E. Todd, 81, of Monticello passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in Tallahassee.
Ruth was born in Faceville, GA on Aug. 14, 1942 to the late Lonnie and Mary Emanuel. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Todd; her son, George Todd; her brothers, John and Henry Emanuel; her sisters, Mary Ethel Emanuel and Olie Mae Emanuel and a niece, Barbara Bruner.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Driggers and her husband Grant, and Donna Chastain; her sister, Annie Lou Edwards; her stepchildren, Kathy Whidden and her husband Skeeter and Joe and Donna Todd; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, 11 step- great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She had a special closeness to Betty Martin, Nancy and Preston Strickland, Mary Johnson, Helen and Jerry Bottoms, Ellen and James Owens and Gene Edwards.
Services to honor Ruth’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 13 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation beginning one hour prior to the services.
