Silden T. Carpenter
WEWAHITCHKA, FL – Silden T. Carpenter, also known as “Papa T”, of Wewahitchka, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Silden was born March 31, 1947 to the late Eddie Carpenter and Bessie Burgess Carpenter.
He worked for the city of Port St. Joe until his retirement and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army.
Silden is preceded in death by his wife Jacki Carpenter.
Survivors include his son, Travis Carpenter Jr. of Wewahitchka; his daughters, Linda Newman and her husband Richard Newman of Wewahitchka; Sharon Dupuie of Wewahitchka; his sister, Gail Dienst and her husband Art of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Dirk, Caroline, Tyra, Kody, Krystal and Deanna and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial to honor Silden’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
