Obituary – Bobby Weathers Jr.
BOBBY GENE WEATHERS JR.
CRAWFORDVILLE – Bobby Gene Weathers, Jr. age 61, of Crawfordville passed away peacefully on Feb. 14, 2023. He was born to the late Bobby Gene Weather Sr. and Betty Lou (Owens) on Jan. 13, 1962, in Dale County, AL.
Bobby moved to Florida as a child of a United States Army officer and roots were set. He instilled in his children that hard work is good for the soul. Bobby loved working with his hands. He was a master in welding, wood working and even spent time as an oysterman in Franklin County. When he wasn’t working, he was freshwater fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. When the fish wouldn’t bite he knew the Florida State Seminoles would win the next game.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Weathers.
Bobby is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Debora Weathers and daughters, Heather Hamilton, Brandy Hodge (Darrell) and Amber Scruggs and family; grandchildren, Austin Teague, Michaela Hamilton, Kelsie Hamilton, Taya Hodge, Kaitlyn Welborn (Lane), Annie Hodge (Robert), Elizabeth Hodge and Alyssa Hodge; five great-grandchildren and one niece, Alexis Weather. Bobby will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of ICS Cremation and Funeral Home in Lake City.
