Willie D. Wise

BLOUNTSTOWN, FL – Willie D. Wise, age 85, of Blountstown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024.

Willie D. was born on Jan. 31, 1939, in Westville to Ronal L. and Ester Hudson Wise.

He was one of eight children. His brothers and sisters include Thelma, A.J., Edna, Annie Pearl, Glenda, Royce Gene, and Merline.

Willie D. graduated Altha High School in 1957 and married Mary Lee Howard in 1958. Together they had three sons, Doug, Jim, and Richard; three grandchildren, Tara, James, and Olivia; and three-great grandchildren, Ryker, Ryleigh, and Case.

Willie D. was elected Clerk of Court in 1976 and took pride in serving the people of Calhoun County for 24 years.

He leaves behind many friends and family and his presence will be greatly missed.

At Willie D.’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in his honor to the Calhoun County Public Library.
